The Hospital
Chestnut Hill Hospital, part of Chestnut Hill Health System, is a fully JCHAO accredited, 179-bed community teaching hospital serving northwest Philadelphia and the adjacent suburbs of eastern Montgomery County. Chestnut Hill Health System is a joint venture between Community Health Systems, Inc. and University of Pennsylvania health System. The Podiatric Surgical Residency Program thrives in this academic environment composed of more than 300 medical and dental professionals representing every major specialty and subspecialty. In addition to the Podiatric Surgical Residency Program, the hospital also supports a Family Practice Residency Program. There are residents from other area hospitals that rotate through Internal Medicine and General Surgery services at Chestnut Hill Hospital.
The hospital provides comprehensive services to the community such as emergency medicine, oncology, women health services, neurology, cardiology, orthopedics, podiatry, physical medicine and rehabilitation, gerontology, community health education, prevention and wellness. Nuclear medicine, MRI, MRA, peripheral angiography, mammography, ultra sound, CT scanning are among the services offered by our radiology department. Other important features include a medical / surgical intensive care unit, acute and intermediate cardiac care units, and outpatient surgical services.
