Student Opportunities
Chestnut Hill Hospital Podiatric Externship Program
• Open to students from all podiatry schools
• Accepts 1 – 2 students per month
• Hands on participation in podiatric surgery, podiatric office, wound care and patient rounds
• Participation in academic activities in the residency program
• Student presentation required
• Practice mock residency interview
• Free parking at hospital garage
• Meal tickets to help defray some of the food expenses
Office based Clerkship
• Open to students from all podiatry schools
• 2 weeks or 1 month clerkships
• Accept 1 student per month or per 2 weeks
• Free parking at hospital garage
Program Visitation
Program visitation is encouraged during the year for interested students who do not have an opportunity to do an externship or an office based clerkship with the residency program. Although none of these activities is required in order to be considered for the residency program, it is always helpful for the interested student to learn more about the residency program prior to applying. The hospital is readily accessible by car and public transportation.
