In addition to providing psychosocial and emotional support, our oncology social worker assists patients with transportation, financial concerns, prescription medications, homecare, peer support, advanced directives and hospice care. Information about these resources as well as others in the community are available in the cancer resource room, of the medical office building. The resource center also houses a patient library offering brochures, videos, books, a television and VCR and a Wig Boutique. Patients are welcome to one wig or scarf, free of charge, thanks to the kind donations of many of our patients.
